Life at the ICI: Memories of working at ICI Billingham

This is the culmination of some five years work, carried out with generous financial support from the Heritage Lottery Foundation,

Members of the project team interviewed some 80 men and women who worked for, or were associated with, ICI at Billingham. The interviews were transcribed and tapes will be lodged in local archives. Meanwhile, Dr Margaret Williamson of the University of Teesside has edited extracts from the interviews into various themes, and the resulting book is published this month.

A party to launch the book will be held at the Synthonia Club in Billingham on Tuesday 20 May.
