Jimmy Cutter dies
Jimmy Cutter, whose informal recollections of life at ICI Billingham, where he worked as a rigger, were instrumental in the setting up of the Teesside Industrial Memories Project, died on 6 July 2007 at the age of 93.
Jimmy's recollections of his early life remained sharp and entertaining to the end. Born a Londoner, he spent many years at sea in the Mechant Navy before settling in Middlesbrough. He travelled widely, observed acutely, and remembered it all.
